Steinberg vs. Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc.

Steinberg had drawn a picture called the view of the world from Ninth Street which was depicted on the front cover of the New Yorker in March 29, 1976. Which included four blocks of Manhattan, Hudson River, United States, Pacific Ocean, and rest of the world. With a red line with a line wash of blue for the background. This was then copyrighted with the United States copyright office. Three months later THE NEW YORKER gave Steinberg the copyright

The poster of the movie Moscow on the Hudson later came out with the lead actor robin Williams and his 2 co-stars at the bottom of the frame with the Hudson river then four blocks of Manhattan pacific ocean with a couple of buildings from Russia then a red line with a thin wash blue line.
